Hand-Folded Dog Tugs Made Real
No shortcuts. No guesses. Just real craft you can see and trust.
Two folds, two different structures
Vector-S and Helix-P start from identical fleece and identical cuts. Everything that distinguishes them happens in how the strands are folded.
- Vector-S — concentrated direction changes. The strands cross at sharp, perpendicular corners. Each strand turns through a few distinct, tight angles per repeat, then runs straight between them. From above, the fold resolves into four discrete wrapped squares — one per color.
- Helix-P — distributed direction changes. The strands shift diagonally rather than turning at corners, so direction change is spread continuously along the length instead of concentrated at a few points. The pattern reads as a running offset rather than a stacked square.
That's a real structural difference: where the direction change happens, and whether it's concentrated or distributed. You can see it on a finished tug, and you can feel it in your hand.
Slobber & Stitch makes hand-folded fleece dog tugs — real material, real technique, no invented science. Every tug starts as the same cut of fleece and becomes one of a small number of named, demonstrable fold patterns, tied by hand, in front of the person buying it.
We don't dress up craftsmanship as engineering. We don't borrow a claim we haven't tested. We'd rather tell a customer "this isn't the right toy for your dog" than sell them something dishonestly. And when we do have real data — a measured stretch, a real cycle count, an actual number instead of a guess — that's the moment we've earned the right to say more, not before.
Handmade isn't a marketing angle here. It's the whole audit trail: you can watch it made, ask what it's made of, and get a true answer every time.
Watch each fleece dog tug being made by hand with clear, measured folds and real materials.
Hand-folded, fold by fold.
Every tug we make starts the same way: heavyweight knit fleece, cut to an exact spec, then folded by hand into one of two shapes. No factory, no machine — just fabric and a pair of hands, often right at the table while you watch.

The Story
It started at a table, not a factory.
Slobber & Stitch began the way most honest things do — with someone willing to fold, by hand, in front of a stranger, and let the fold speak for itself. No hidden assembly line, no black box. A strip of fleece, a set of knots, and a person watching it happen.
That table became the whole philosophy. If a claim couldn't be shown at the booth, it didn't go on the sign. If a number couldn't be measured, it stayed out of the pitch. Not because caution is a virtue for its own sake, but because a shredded reputation is harder to rebuild than a shredded tug
— and because the people buying these, and the dogs pulling on them, deserved better than a confident guess dressed up as a fact.
So the business grew the slow way: real material (240 GSM knit fleece, cut the same exact way every time), real technique (a crown knot, a diagonal shift, a rotated lobe — each one nameable, each one demonstrable), and real math (cost per yard, cost per strip, profit per hour, tracked down to the cent) — rather than the fast way, which is borrowed science and invented percentages that don't survive a second question.
Along the way, the questions got harder, not easier. What's the wrap angle of a crown knot, really? Does a box stitch actually differ from what we're already folding? What does a dog's eye even register in a fold pattern? Every one of those got chased down properly — some resolved, some left as open, honest hypotheses waiting on a luggage scale and a stopwatch to become real numbers. That's not a slower way to build a brand. It's the only way to build one that doesn't have to be walked back later.
Hand-Folding Meets Honest Craftsmanship
From the precise 240 GSM polyester knit fleece to hand tying distinct named folds right before your eyes, each tug embodies craftsmanship grounded in what we have measured and demonstrated, never on guesswork or marketing fluff.
HELIX-P
The Diagonal Fold
Helix-P folds on a diagonal shift instead of a straight line, so each crossing offsets from the one before it — a visible, continuous shift running down the length of the tug rather than a stacked square pattern.
Same material, same care, different geometry. A little more movement in the pull.
VECTOR-S
The Direct Fold
Vector-S is folded in straight, perpendicular lines — the most linear fold we make. Four strands cross at right angles, over and under, into a four-strand crown knot. Looked at from above, it resolves into four distinct wrapped squares, one per strand color.
It's a direct, no-frills tug: what you pull is what you get, straight down the line.
